Colin Sinclair
Director of Special Projects
Colin joined Bruntwood in 2010 and is leading on the diversification of Bruntwood’s interests along the Oxford Road Corridor, with a focus on science and digital media.
He has an entrepreneurial background, starting his career in the music business. He was appointed Chief Executive of MIDAS in 2006 where he played the lead role in promoting the city region to international firms and innovative global businesses. During his tenure he attracted over 300 new businesses and over £300m of investment to Greater Manchester.
Throughout his time at MIDAS, Colin also worked in partnership with Marketing Manchester (the Tourist Board) and Manchester Airport on Airline Route Development , and with the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) on Economic Development. Under Colin’s leadership, MIDAS was particularly successful at building relationships with both financial and media firms in New York and London, leading to an invitation to become a member of a City of London Livery Company.
Outside of work Colin has been chair of the Bridgewater Hall Trust and Deputy Chair of The Millenium Quarter Trust.
Colin is a keen yauchtsman and rugby player and recently completed four triathalons for charity. He is married with three sons and lives in West Lancashire.
