Bruntwood own and manage Afflecks, an indoor market of independent retailers where a range of alternative businesses flourish.
Having owned this iconic Manchester building for over 30 years, we took over the operation of Afflecks in 2008. Since then, ‘Team Afflecks’ has taken the building to almost full occupancy whilst maintaining the unique character and eclectic mix of start-ups and established stall holders that play a big part in creating Afflecks’ legendary buzz.
Afflecks is now one of Manchester’s most notable retail attractions and was undoubtedly a factor in the Northern quarter being named as the ‘UK’s Best Neighbourhood’ in 2010. It was nominated as Tourism Retailer of the Year at the 2010 Manchester Tourism Awards, and continues to be on the 'must-see' list for visitors to the city.
