As with all of our Green Schemes, our energy management programme has been designed to help our office and serviced customers reduce their consumption and costs.

This begins with maximising value for money for our customers by purchasing gas and electricity from the wholesale market. In the past two years we have leveraged our size and bulk buying power to deliver utility prices up to 21% less than over the counter rates.

The next step is to reduce the amount of energy being used in our office buildings. The key to this is our Smart Metre technology, which we’re installing in all of our office buildings. This technology provides us with energy consumption data, helping us to detect and eliminate areas of wasteful consumption. Our objective is to provide our customers with access to their own consumption data so they can drive behavioural change from within their own buildings.

The aim of our energy management programme is to reach our target of reducing energy consumption in our buildings by 10% p.a. until 2010, helping us to provide green offices and value for money.
