Sending waste to landfill has cost implications for businesses and the environment, so in September 2008 we launched a free recycling scheme for all our office and serviced office customers to help minimise these costs.
Our target is to recycle 65% of the waste generated in our office buildings by the end of 2009. Reaching this target will be the equivalent of saving 57,000 trees from being used to make new paper, that’s an area the size of 200 football pitches. It will also save our customers £1m in landfill taxes over three years.
All of our office and serviced office customers that participate in the scheme receive their own recycling bins for paper, plastic and cans, along with promotional materials to help them encourage their staff to recycle their office waste.
By working with our customers and providing them with the necessary infrastructure to recycle, we’ve made recycling easy, hassle free and highly economical.
