A sparkling night

Booths Park has annually staged Knutsford's bonfire night and this year marked the 30th anniversary of the event.

The public rolled in from 6.30pm when the food and drinks stalls were opened in the marquees, with a feast of home-made cakes and a bottomless supply of hot drinks to ease the autumn chill, including mulled wine provided by local bar 'Room'.

The towering bonfire was lit at 7pm and the firework display that followed was one of the most spectacular of recent years - a 30 minute non-stop kaleidoscope of colour, with Booths Hall providing the perfect backdrop.

Bruntwood assisted with the event marketing this year and launched the 'Bruntwood Bonfire Art Competition'. Over 70 entries were judged by our panel before the winners were revealed on the evening. Coverage of the event was seen in the local press and community websites.

A big thank you to the local scout group, who helped organise the evening.
