Manchester was home to some very special cows during the summer of 2004 when 100 life size sculptures were herded into the city centre as Cow Parade, the world's largest public art event, came to town.
The fibre glass cows, designed and created by top regional and celebrity artists, were then auctioned off for Manchester Kids, a charity providing children's and young people's projects throughout the North West.
As sponsors of the event, we got our creative juices moooving by designing and painting our own Bruntwood cows, Moo and Brunty, who managed to stop traffic in the city centre when he broke loose from the herd!
As well as providing something new and vibrant for visitors to the city, Cow Parade bought together arts and business and raised £194,000 for charity, a mooginificent achievement.
