Formerly known as ‘Portland Tower’ and located on the corner of Portland Street and Sackville Street, the redevelopment of Manchester One has been substantial. Both inside and out, the building has been refurbished to compliment today’s business needs in terms of flexibility, usability and digital connectivity.

Manchester One houses a total of 131,000 sq ft of high quality office accommodation, available from 300 sq ft to 24,000 sq ft, on short and long-term leases.

But one thing remains constant – and that’s Manchester One’s city centre location, amenities and proximity to the city’s main rail and tram interchanges.

Across our portfolio of 110 buildings we’re working closely with Metronet (UK), a pioneering North West Internet Service Provider to deliver ‘super-connected’ office space. This means our customers at Manchester One can expect connection speeds of 1Mb per second to 1Gb per second as standard and even up to 10Gb per second in some instances, with easy set-up, instant scalability and a 99.95% Service Level Agreement (SLA) for network uptime.

All this comes with the added benefit of meeting rooms for hire and a dedicated on-site customer service team to manage the smooth operation of the building. Interesting facts

Originally known as St Andrew’s House, then subsequently Portland Tower, 'Manchester One' was built in early 1960’s and designed by architects Leach Rhodes Walker. The tower was one of the first high-rise buildings constructed in the 1960s in the UK and stands at 262 ft high with 21 storeys. Bruntwood purchased the property in 1994 and renamed it Portland Tower soon after. The gable end on the Sackville Street entrance was coloured bright yellow in 2002 to celebrate the Commonwealth Games held in Manchester. The building was redeveloped and renamed as 'Manchester One' in 2012.
