Bruntwood let 23,000 sq ft on New York Street

North of England property company Bruntwood has attracted a new customer to its New York Street portfolio in the shape of The College of Law who are taking 23,000 sq ft at 2 New York Street.

Bruntwood sales director Andrew Butterworth said: “To have the College of Law occupying the single floor at 2 New York Street is great news. Originally designed as a gym before we purchased the building, we’ve redesigned the space so it works exactly as the college needs. This deal highlights the quality, flexibility and value of the product we’re able to offer on New York Street, which is already home to occupiers such as Drivas Jonas, Sheppard Robson, NICE and The Government.”

Following a £5.5m fit out, the College of Law will take occupation in September 2009 and this announcement follows the successful development of their London Moorgate centre; the largest corporate-specific law school in the UK.

Regional director of The College of Law, Tricia Chatterton, said: “This is an excellent location for our new centre, in the heart of a dynamic, commercial quarter, with great transport links. The College will be investing in the regional economy by retaining prospective legal talents and nurturing the top law professionals of tomorrow.”
