Bruntwood, the family-owned commercial property company with offices in the North and Midlands, have been granted planning permission for their redevelopment of City House, a landmark building situated in the heart of Leeds city centre.
Bruntwood will convert the 120,000 sq ft City House into Grade A, BREEAM Excellent office space available from mid-2013. The 14-storey building, located directly above Leeds mainline train station, will provide office space to suit all business sizes from bespoke suites to flexible serviced offices.
Craig Burrow, Director of Leeds for Bruntwood, said: “City House will benefit from meticulous design, precision craftsmanship and the highest quality materials to ensure it impresses on every level. The building will be priced to appeal to a wide range of occupiers and our aim is to develop vibrant and well-functioning places that create the right environments for our customers to succeed.”
City House was acquired by Bruntwood in July 2010 and following redevelopment will provide customers with a new contemporary entrance foyer and mezzanine reception, with concierge-style service providing a friendly and professional welcome.
Craig Burrow also commented: “Our proposals include re-cladding the building’s exterior, remodelling the pedestrian entrance and public realm and creating additional access to the basement car park.
Bruntwood own five commercial buildings in Leeds with a total ownership of 390,000 sq ft. Their portfolio is currently 99% occupied, including developments such as West One and 14 King Street.
