North of England commercial property company Bruntwood today announced the appointment of Colin Sinclair as their special projects director, who will help drive a new phase in their development programme.
Sinclair (48), currently chief executive at MIDAS, Greater Manchester’s inward investment agency, will be heading up a series of new projects for Bruntwood, the first being the redevelopment of the Manchester Business School.
Sinclair has over 25 years experience in general management and business investment, working at MIDAS for 5 years and prior to that in Manchester’s music and events industry.
Bruntwood’s chief executive, Chris Oglesby, said, “Bruntwood has performed well through the recession and this is a great time to be looking at new opportunities. Colin is a talented individual, who will be a great fit with the team here and his experience will be invaluable as we grow the business’’.
Colin Sinclair said, "Bruntwood is a well respected Manchester company and I'm very excited by their ambitious development plans for the future. Whilst I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at MIDAS, after 5 years it is the right time for me to take on a new challenge and I look forward to joining the team.”
Bruntwood proactively own and manage 90 properties in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Birmingham, which are home to over 1,000 companies. By coming through the economic downturn with a strong financial base, the company now plans further growth to reflect its growing status in the regional property market.
