Bruntwood let 23,900 sq ft at The Exchange

North of England property company Bruntwood has attracted 2 new customers to The Exchange on New York Street, in the shape of Air Resources and a government department who are taking 7,000 sq ft and 16,900 sq ft respectively.

The Government will be taking occupation of the 3rd and 4th floors at the building, with Air Resources taking the 2nd floor. These deals mean The Exchange is almost fully let, with 1,400 of its total 42,000 sq ft left available, only 5 months after the building practically completed.

Both of these deals are being swiftly being taken through legals for the benefit of both occupiers, meaning they will be able to take occupation this month.

Bruntwood sales director Andrew Butterworth said, “Accommodating these customers on New York Street is an example of the consistency with which we’re able to deliver office product to satisfy the needs of organisations wishing to move quickly. Despite tight timescales, we’re working closely with them both to ensure they’re able to take occupation in the next few weeks.”

Bruntwood’s letting success at The Exchange forms part of a series of deals that have taken place during 2008 on New York Street, where Bruntwood own all of the properties.

Andrew Butterworth said, “Out of the 90,000 sq ft we’ve let in 2008 on New York Street, 55,000 sq ft are pre-lets at The Exchange, 1 New York Street and 2 New York Street to new customers Turning Point (10,400 sq ft), The Development Planning Partnership (5,500 sq ft), Faber Maunsell (17,158 sq ft) and The college of Law (22,000 sq ft). These deals clearly highlight occupier confidence in this area, as well as our ability to deliver high quality product on time and at a very competitive price point.”
