Bruntwood

7th November, 2010

Organised as part of a series of ‘Breakfast by Bruntwood’ events, the morning was the latest in a programme of quarterly breakfasts held at Bruntwood's reinvigorated Mclaren building.

More than 70 business leaders enjoyed presentations from Waheed Nazir of Birmingham City Council and Neil Rami, chief executive of Marketing Birmingham, on the newly-revised detail of the Big City Plan and the launch of Business Birmingham, the city’s inward investment campaign.

Neil Rami, chief executive of Marketing Birmingham, which leads the Business Birmingham campaign, said, “Birmingham is at an exciting stage in its development with an aim to become the most attractive city in Europe in which to do business. The Big City Plan and the Business Birmingham campaign provide a framework to improve the city’s infrastructure and landscape. These will enable Birmingham to attract investment to sectors where the city has a strong track record, as well as those high growth areas that have the potential to generate further growth and jobs moving forward.”

Development director for Bruntwood, Pete Crowther said, “Our view that Birmingham has great potential has been reinforced by the vision and commitment shown by The Big City Plan and Business Birmingham. At Bruntwood, we’re looking to further increase our presence in the city and to be part of its changing landscape and successful future.”
