Overview

Riverside is located in an area that is currently seeing major regeneration and investment, with the commercial, retail and residential hub of Spinningfields close by.

The complex of five office buildings has recently undergone a £5m redevelopment which has created exciting new retail opportunities at ground floor level, with investment in new high quality paving and additional planting providing the opportunity for outside seating areas on the New Bailey Street frontage.

Riverside stands directly opposite the busy commuter rail station at Salford Central, and adjacent to the 5-star Lowry Hotel, with an additional pedestrian link to Deansgate via the Calatrava bridge.  As well as significant passing footfall, the office buildings are home to approximately 1500 workers.

Other retailers in the area include a recently opened Waitrose food store and the acclaimed Mark Addy restaurant.

Interesting facts

Previously owned by the Manchester Evening News, Riverside is made up of five buildings of which four are named after printing typefaces; Aldine, Baskerville, Cloister and Delphian. The building was built in the late 60's and early 70's and the architects who designed the complex are now customers in the fifth building - Executive Suite. Riverside was proud to receive an award for being a great example of the architecture of its period.
