From 2010 to 2013 our staff fundraising efforts are targeted at OnSide and the Factory Youth Zone in North Manchester.
OnSide is a young people’s charity that has its roots in the highly successful Bolton Lads and Girls Club. Its aim is to develop strong local partnerships to build high-quality, new facilities for young people.
One of OnSide’s key projects is the development of The Factory, a £5m flagship youth facility in North Manchester.
The Factory will house a wide range of high-quality activities for young people, ranging from sport to arts.
Bruntwood staff have pledged to raise £300,000 for OnSide and The Factory over three years. Staff will also get involved in The Factory’s volunteering and mentoring programme to help provide positive role models for the young people who attend.
From 2005 to 2010, our fundraising in Manchester was focussed on The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
We raised £510,000 for the hospital which has helped to pay for The Bruntwood Spinal and Orthopaedic Ward. The ward cares for around 1,500 children from across the Northwest every year.
