Building a sustainable future

Working in partnership with The University of Manchester, we’ve developed Eco Cities, a climate change adaptation research project.

EcoCities has carried out research into future climate scenarios for Greater Manchester to build understanding and expertise on how to adapt the city to the climate change effects it can expect. Through its academic research, EcoCities considers how different responses to climate change might help to mitigate the city’s expected impacts.

 For Bruntwood, one crucial outcome of EcoCites is to gain better insights into how existing buildings can be adapted to meet future climate change challenges in a commercially feasible way and with our concentrated portfolio in Manchester, we are uniquely placed to trail new approaches.
