“I joined Bruntwood in May 2008 as a Finance Manager and am responsible for the administration of our loans, statutory accounts and help with tax issues. I have gained experience in a wide variety of areas since I joined Bruntwood and sitting in an open plan office makes the Directors more accessible than other places I have worked; this helps whenever I have questions and has been invaluable in helping me develop as a professional.
The best thing about working at Bruntwood is the people you work with. There is a vibrant workforce and there are always opportunities for you to get involved in activities including a wide range of sporting and charitable events. In my time I have taken part in the golf and tennis societies, played 5 a side football and played cricket against other businesses. I have also joined the charity committee allowing me to help contribute to the ambitious charitable donation targets that Bruntwood sets itself to help give back to the local communities in which we operate. It's nice to have 2 days that you are given for charitable activities and management are always supportive of any ideas you have to help raise money.
Through these activities I have learnt about the other areas of the business and made some good friends in the process.”
