Project management and development

Bruntwood is known for its skill and expertise in turning buildings into desirable business destinations, with every step of the process undertaken with the needs of our customers in mind.

We are constantly adding to and improving our portfolio of properties, with our own in-house team of experts taking responsibility for every aspect of their development and refurbishment.

Here's what some of the team members have to say about working at Bruntwood:

“I returned to Bruntwood, having previously worked here as a Building Surveyor, to take on the Project Management role for the City Tower refurbishment; a £65m project running over four years.  Challenging projects in Liverpool and South Manchester followed, and I am currently involved as Project Manager on the £21m re-development of the Former Royal Eye Hospital on Oxford Road, and the £17m refurbishment of City House in Leeds.

Having spent time working outside the business I can say that the opportunities Bruntwood provide for Project Managers on complex and exciting projects are relatively unique. As client-side Project Managers we are able to input and influence the decision making process, and gain a far wider understanding of the full property development process.”
David Taylor, Project Manager

“Since I joined Bruntwood 12 years ago as a graduate I have been involved in a wide range of interesting and varied projects. The schemes have ranged from small refurbishments to large scale redevelopments and every day is different. I don’t enjoy sitting behind a desk all day and working in the development team gives me the opportunity to spend time on site getting involved in the progression of the schemes. As well as working with other departments within Bruntwood, I also get to work with external professionals such as architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and consultants who all have an input on the final design.

Maintaining a work-life balance is important, at Bruntwood there are many social, sporting and charitable events to get involved in. Recent events include a coast to coast bike ride, charity cake bake and the Bruntworld Cup 5-a-side tournament. Additional package benefits including travel season ticket loans, company share scheme, private healthcare and pension scheme also make life that little bit easier.”
